Complex Outsourcing Deals: New Strategies for Planning, Sourcing and Governing

Tuesday, April 5th | 9:00 a.m. (EDT)

Shorter contract terms, increasingly complex multi-sourcing deals and new technologies have all converged, creating a whirlwind of needs for sourcing professionals. They are challenged with finding new approaches and developing new skills to assist with the pre-outsourcing planning, complex outsourcing ecosystems and design of strong governance models. “Three bids and a buy” RFPs simply don’t work in this environment. In this session a group of experienced senior leaders will introduce best practices and real-life experiences that will inform your strategies and practices throughout the lifecycle of third party relationships during the three phases of outsourcing; strategy and planning, sourcing and implementation, and management and governance. Previous discussions in this series have focused on strategy and planning and in this session the presenters will focus on sourcing practices and contract implementation.

You will learn:

  • About the changing needs and expectations of the business and the impact on technology, processes and sourcing practices
  • About a case in which emerging technologies were harnessed for digital transformation in a line of business
  • About a case in which the digital revolution transformed an existing cash management system
  • Best practices in adapting your sourcing strategies for complex deals and emerging technologies
